Benidorm is a thoroughly cosmopolitan fun town featuring something for all tastes. The two kilometre stretch of beach called Playa de Levante is renowned for its cleanliness and variety of available entertainment. It forms the backbone of the town. Choose from dozens of Spanish tapas bars, British pubs, German bier kellers, French cafés, and restaurants that serve-up Mexican, Chinese, Greek, Indian, Italian... (The list goes on.) There are plenty of places to wine and dine in the old town too. The town's night life is diverse and caters for all ages, with live entertainment available almost 24 hours a day. There's also a casino and the Benidorm Palace for dining and cabaret. During the day there are boat trips to the bird sanctuary on Benidorm Island, plus various theme parks including the Mundo Mar marine park, Aqualandia and the recently built Terra Mitica. Cultural attractions include the February carnival and regular outdoor concerts and theatrical performances in the L’Aigüera amphitheatre. | |
